The Centre for Teacher Education of IPEM group of institutions organized Scout & Guide camp from 8 th Jan 2018 to 13th Jan.2018 in two spells for the B.Ed. session 2016-18(2 nd Year) students and D.El.Ed (2 nd Year) students of session 2015-17.Total 159 students viz; 112 (B.Ed. 2nd Year), 47(B.T.C. 2015-17 Sem III) participated in the camp as per the following schedule: -

The camp was organized under the guidance of Mr. Shyam Singh (District Commissioner, Bharat Scout & Guide). The camp continued for 6 days in which the students got to learn many ways to cope up with some adverse circumstances. The students were indeed enlightened to learn about different knots, Tent Pitching, First Aid, Pyramids, Make stretchers etc. The camp was closed on 13 th January 2018 with the investiture ceremony. On the closing ceremony, the students showcased their vivacious talents by displaying variety of Pyramids, Minars and stretchers, Tent Pitching, Cooking variety of dishes in Community Lunch and cultural activities performed by them. They showed a message of Unity in Diversity of India by making colorful tents using bed sheets and dupattas. Tent pitching activity was judged by Dr. B.Acharya (Principal, IPEM Law Academy) and Dr. Dolly Phillips(HOD, Management Dept) for BATCH 1 and Dr. R.P. S Tomar (Director IT Dept) and Dr.Nishi Sharma(Principal, CTE Dept) For Batch 2 under the four criteria viz; uniform & presentation, tent, tent gadgets and decoration.Jasmine Toli of Batch 1 and Jaihind Toli of Batch 2 begged first prizes for Tent Pitching Activity. The students also prepared special food of Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Kerala and Chhattisgarh etc. in community lunch. The evaluators appreciated the combined efforts of the teams and judged them on three criteria’s viz; presentation, taste and cooking. For Cooking, Punjab theme of Batch 1 and Rajasthan theme of Batch 2 begged First and Second Prizes, respectively. The students also reflected the colors of India through dance performance of various states. The programme included Haryana dance, Bengali song, Punjabi Giddha, Rajasthani dance and Skit. The cultural activity attained high attention and applause of all the people presented in the auditorium. The honorable chief guest,Mr. Anupam Goel(Secretary, IPEM group of Institution, Ghaziabad), Dr. Sugandha Goel (Dean Academics of IPEM group of Institution, Ghaziabad),Dr. Col. A.S. Malhotra(Director General of IPEM group of Institution, Ghaziabad) blessed the students with his sheer blessings. The camp was ended with the vote of thanks by Dr. Nishi Sharma (Principal, C.T.E. Department). The camp had good coverage in the Daily Newspapers on 14 th January 2018 and 15 th Jan 2018.
